Compared to the $400-something that Indian sells them for, this is a steal. They feel solid, and fit right up.I consider myself pretty mechanically inclined (I’m a welder by trade, and a “maker” at home, also work on my own cars and bikes) and it took me 30 mins to install the front and the back set, and most of that was looking for the tools. You need a 6mm Allen (hex) tool and an 8mm Allen. I used a socket for each, and for the rear bars (a separate item, but I ordered and installed at the same time) you can either remove the saddlebags if you have them, or take a 6mm Allen wrench and cut the short side down to about 1/2 inch like in the pic with the tools. It would also be smart to have some threadlocker.Plan on taking the complete right floorboard (I have a Springfield, you may have pegs) off with the rear brake assembly. You don’t have to loosen the actual brake line (in fact, DON’T do that!). Just carefully let it hang towards the ground. The image with the yellow writing shows you which 8mm bolts to remove. You may want to either remove the front fender carefully, or you can wrap it in a soft towel and tape the towel in place. Or, you can do like I did, and was just super-very careful. When you install the front bars, make sure and put them -behind- the brake line that goes down-to-up and right-to-left if you’re sitting on the bike. That goes from the rear brake pedal assembly up to a small (two-way? not sure what you’d call it) connection. I just got one of the smaller bolts started in one of the top holes, and that held the bars so I could get one of the larger bolts started in a lower hole. Once you get it lined up enough where you can start tightening bolts, pull each out (one at a time) and put a dab of thread locker on it and tighten it down. Then, go to the next bolt till you get all four.Less than half an hour for me, and that included looking for tools, having a Beam and Coke, and taking pictures for this review.

The engine guards look fantastic on my bike. They were not that easy to install. I did it by myself. If I would’ve had help I would of got it done a lot sooner I used bungee cords to hold the bar up so I can line the bolts up I went to the hardware store and bought black bolts, because Chrome ones come with the engine guard but they look fantastic. The color matches my indian dark horse. It beefs the bike up. I love the looks of it and they’re very sturdy well-made bars. And the price is right 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Wow is all I have to say. Look for them at the stealership and they were 500. Got these for 400 less with shipping and they look and fit perfect. Not too big not too small. Bolted up perfectly. Matte finish blends perfect with my matte bike. 2018 Indian Chieftain Limited.

Quality seems nice, the vents movements seem too loose for me, like the will always have to keep being closed, the clamps to the bar are cheap, no matter how delicate I was with them the rubber peeled off the metal. Install was quick longer bolts could have been used for easier installation.

The crash bars installed very easily (the only pain was removing the right floorboard to reach the frame mounting hole on the right side) – did take some strength to get things to align but nothing out of standard expectations for parts like this. Looks great – feels REALLY solid – glad I got this over the Indian part for sure.

Looks as good as the factory bars. As others said removal of right side foot controls are needed (not disconnected, hanging out of the way) all the mounting points line up. At 1/3 the cost, you beat that.Looks. CheckFits. CheckSavings. CheckYou can’t go wrong

Everything fit just right and it looks like high quality. You need to remove the right side floorboard and let hang below…do not remove. I will add, if you do not want the rubber fittings on the bars, push the end of the rubber down and pull pin thru and it will release easy. Don’t cut it or you might scratch chrome. Keep the rubber on the road boys
