7/16-14 Head bolt or Rocker arm thread repair V8 repair kit. Used in cast iron blocks where the material thickness is approx 5/8 or .625 inches. Used in Big block and small block engines that use 7/16-14 for the head bolt threads. Also used in rocker arm thread repair in aluminum heads.

I paid the extra money to get quality tooling, but ended up with a bent drill bit. I thought that it was maybe my drill’s chuck being funny… so, I threw it in my drill press quick to check and sure enough the bit was pretty terrible. Terrible enough to be unusable. Fortunately, I had a quality size bit that was the proper size on hand… otherwise, I would have been royally frustrated. Still, it did not meet my expectations for quality (I have cheap drill bits from China that are at least straight). Other than that, this kit was perfect. It does a great job. Just check your drill bit for a wobble and if it has one… don’t use it. I’ll be writing the company to see what they have to say. It’s just dissapointing when you pay a premium price for what is supposed to be a premium product.

Great product!! Used on a 350 block
