These slides feature Vespel material inserts and are made from a space-age polymer/composite material that is stronger than hardened steel, aluminum or even titanium and are made using a compression molding process. In fact, they deliver 15T scale Rockwell hardness of about 80 (UHMW – Ultra High Molecular Weight – slide runner hardness rating is about R64) and are capable of withstanding extreme friction and heat environments. Other features include: Vespel pieces placed at a 45-degree angle across the heavy wear section of the slide for constant contact and even wear Lightweight, yet strong Partially made with current UHMW plastic slide runner material Offered in convenient 57″ over all length – simply cut to size if your track is shorter.
