Oil Solutions is great, shipped quickly and tray arrived in good shape. The problem is when I placed the assembled tray under my 275 gallon and under the exterior oil filter, the other end of the tank is not covered if it leaks there. I kept it and I bent some aluminum and extended it into the tray so there is now protection at that end. Another problem is if it leaks and fills up one side of the tray, I don’t think it will then fill the other side but will overflow onto the floor. Still, this appears to be the only product available and will give some protection.

This is cheap insurance – not saying the product is cheap (because it is relatively heavy-duty plastic). Yes, I wish it was a little bit wider to hold more capacity but this Tank Tray is a universal fit for 275 and 330 Gal Oil Tanks. Easy installation, came with one half nestled in the other. Yes, 15 gallons is a far cry from 275 gallons… but, and this was critical for me, if I was to ever have a leak in my tank or filter assembly it *probably* would not be catastrophic, and would consist of a slow drip. I would smell the leaking home heating oil long before it reached 15 gallons… hopefully. You do not want the home heating oil dripping and soaking into your concrete slab – you never get rid of that smell. Lastly, look at your homeowner’s insurance policy, many include specific exclusions regarding oil tanks and leaks the cost of cleanup. Again, 15 gallons is not 275 but it may give you an indication of a problem before it is too late.

I’m in an 80 year old house, no bulkhead or basement egress. No idea how old the oil tank is however it was obviously painted many years ago. I’ve switched to heat pumps but still use oil as a backup until I can decide on another backup source. This tank tray seems to be one of kind and it fit perfectly. If you have an older oil tank and aren’t quite ready to switch it out this tray could give you piece of mind. Thank you Oil Solutions!!

This is a preventative measure, and gives me some comfort that I could avoid a disaster, but it could definitely be improved. The tray is actually two identical halves that clip together in the middle, so both ends have the bumpout for the filter. I wish there was an option to have one side just be flat on the end — my tank is in a tight corner, so the bumpout hits the wall on the back side, meaning I can’t slide the tray far enough such that the tank is fully covered underneath by the tray. I also agree with the other reviewers that a lighter color plastic (white or grey) would be better than black for spotting oil if you do end up with a leak or spill. Shipping was faster than expected, although weirdly it wasn’t even in a cardboard box, it was just wrapped in plastic wrap and packing tape.

Safety first after friend suffered from consequences of unknown leaking tank. Sized right for 275 gal tank. Shipped without the fasteners for joining 2 sections – so just used car plastic pop fasteners. If your frugal … this is a way over priced molded plastic tray, so consider DIY options

Great product for added protection against accidental leaks from oil tank. Will give you peace of mind that if there is a leak it will be collected in the tray. Easy to install. My tank was only 220 gallons so I am only using 1/2 the tray but it fits. Price is much cheaper than ones I found on other sites for the same product.

Is what it is fits perfectly – little pricey.

This is very well made and thick plastic for under your oil tank, only question is why are they all black like the color of oil so if there were small amounts would be hard to see, but this is a good one
