As a mobile mechanic I’ve been needing something like this for my vice. I had plans on making something but got this to save me some time. It installed quickly. It’s fairly functional and overall well built. I am a little concerned it about the structure stretch and durability of it if I needed to pound on it. I will have to be aware of the pressure I use. I do really like this vise mount and do think it will come in handy.

This is a great addition to our farm—simple, with nice hardware, and very practical. It bolted right up to our tool store vise with no issues. One word of caution: 2″ receiver slots will always have some play, so if you need it to be stable for precision work, you might want to insert a few wedges around the sides to steady the unit. Otherwise, it will wobble. This isn’t a flaw of the product itself, but rather a limitation of the design concept as a whole.

With flexible slots, I used my smaller bolts, nuts and lock washers to secure my smaller vice. Now I can use it for many applications away from my shop.
Customer –
The flat plate is probably thick enough, but the tube is way too thin to be considered heavy-duty. If you just need the vise to hold something while you drill a hole you’ll probably be ok, but if your task involves a hammer or breaker bar I would not recommend this product. Plan on spending more to get a mounting plate that is actually heavy-duty.

Blank slate here, the possibilities are many I’m thinking. Easily add say a section of treated two by six or larger as a launch pad to the roof I like the flexibility this inexpensive platform provides for modifications to suit numerous applications.
