I spent a few days correcting rock chips, claying, buffing, and finally polishing my 10-year-old dark blue Infiniti. When I was finally ready to apply the coating, it went on easily. Most importantly, after the suggested five minutes, the remainder removed easily and polished up to a beautiful shine with no streaks or discolorations. Truely the easiest, best-looking coating I’ve applied to any of my cars. I am very happy with the results and hope that it lasts well into the future. I will give it some time, resting after all the prep, but if the finish holds up I plan to do my other cars with cerakote pro.

I’m a first time user of any ceramic coating. After researching many brands & application methods on internet & utube, I was confused & a little concerned on attempting it. Decided on Cerakote based on mid price range & testimonial reports on ease of application. As most reports state, the preparation is critical to get a good final result. I used on a new Ford Maverick PU and did all prep steps1). Handwashing with neutral PH soap to remove dealership spray wax & hand dry2) I used Turtlewax brand Iron remover with a heavy rinse & soft towel hand dry.3) clay bar with plenty of lube over all painted surfaces including wheels. Did a section at a time with micro towel removal of lube before going to next section4). Suppose to buff paint but with a new vehicle I had no paint issues so this step was not necessary for me.5) Handspray (50/50 mixture of alcohol & distilled water) & immediate wipe dry with microfiber towel to removal any lube residue from clay lube from step 5Application of Cerakote productI sectioned vehicle into 12 sections (roof-engine hood/grill- 2 front fenders – 4 doors- 2 bed sides – tailgate & wheels. I used applicator provided with kit. Put 4 or 5 drops on applicator pad & wipe on painted surfaces with a cross hash pattern. Product goes on very easy. Add more product to pad when it feels like it is dragging (you can easily feel it)I applied to a section ( typically 2 minutes to apply) & set timer on my phone for 3 minutes. Then I applied product to next section & had time to get wiping & buffing microfiber towers before timer went off. I wiped with one towel & buffed with second towel in same pattern as applied when timer went off. Complete both sections before applying product to next two sections. Product does not dry on applicator pad between applications so I was able to use same pad for entire vehicle. Just be sure not to drop it or contaminate pad between sections.Product was easy so wipe off & buff. You can easily tell by slickness which section had product applied to.I’m very pleased with the application & results. I can’t testify to durability but initial results as good. If you’re a first time user don’t let all the talk worry you. Take time & followed instructions for product & you will be happy with results

Don’t let anyone tell you it takes a professional to ceramic coat you vehicle. That’s not true.I have never applied ceramic coatings to a vehicle before nor was I trained how beyond watching YouTube videos but wanted to try it. Before applying this to my vehicle a neighbor and I split the cost of an order of this Cerakote product. We applied it to an old junky 11 year old dark gray work truck. We chose it because he didn’t care if we screwed it up. This truck has areas where the paint ranges from good condition to beyond hope condition. It has perfect paint and heavily oxidized paint as well as places that look ok but the clearcoat is etched by rainwater. The end result was amazing. The hood where the paint was pretty good looks showroom perfect now. Like a mirror. The oxidized paint areas was greatly improved and we found that this stuff fills in and corrects small clear coat scratches. But the fact that we applied this product ourselves with no prior experience and did a good job is the point. Just find a YouTube video. Follow the instructions. Done. Perhaps other ceramic coating are more difficult. I don’t know. But this one is easy and if you could screw it up I probably would have but didn’t. I’ve used Cerakote trim coating and also the headlight restorer kits before. All very easy to use. Very DIY friendly. Great results. This product is just as good. Highly recommend it.

I have applied other ceramic coating brands like Adams, Gyeon, Chemical Guys, Turtle Wax, Chinese 9H generic, etc. From the spray versions to small bottle serums. Some are great, like Adams, but very difficult to apply correctly. Some others are easy to apply but just don’t last. Maybe six months at max.Cerakote was the first high quality ceramic coating that is easy to apply and last. I’ve bought the first time when they launched the product, and it is still up on the VW Jetta that I applied. After that, I applied in a few more cars and all of them, the ceramic coating is still working correctly with the water beading effects and protection. Are there other great ceramic coatings out there? Of course! Gtechnic, Gyeon, Adams are great brands, and you don’t go wrong with them. But what keeps me buying more and more Cerakote is the best price x performance in the market. For this price, you won’t get anything better than Cerakote. Also, the easy to apply is probably unbeatable. So, if you are a professional or an enthusiast and want to have a great protection in your car. Get this one and you will not regret.PS: Applying ANY ceramic coating doesn’t make your car paint shielded from scratches. It helps reduce the scratches by making the clear coating hydrophobic and giving a thin layer of ceramic coating. To keep this layer, you need to continue washing your car and applying some maintenance to the coating, like ceramic coating quick detailer, wax or sealants. It is the maintenance that will make your ceramic coating to last for years.

It works great, be careful to follow the directions or it will streak. It has to be cleaned with something like alcohol. And extremely clean! It is a very SLOW application process. But it looks good once it’s done.

Works great and easy to use. Repels water really good. Make sure your paint is clean.
