About installation
About hole distance
Q: The holes don’t line up with the holes for the original latch?
A: The distance of the original latch holes for each car may be inconsistent, if you are worried about inconsistency.
Before buying, we recommend:
- The first step: measure the distance between the holes of the original latch.
- The second step: look at the distance between the holes we marked in the picture, you can determine whether the distance between the holes and your original is the same.
About Size
Q: It is too long for a vertical orientation installation, keeping the door very far from the coach?
A: You should buy the wrong size, please check the size before you buy, we also offer 4 inch latch.
The longer the latch, the farther the door is from the coach. This depends on your specific needs. Many of our customers require a 6″ size.
If it is too long, just use the 4″ latch we offer to solve this problem perfectly.
About installation angle
Q: The latch doesn’t fit into the receiver piece if the don’t align at a right angle ?
A: The correct installation method should be: use a marker to determine the location and angle of the installation before installing, then use screws to fix the installation, the problem will not occur.
Note:
- Please measure the size you need before you buy
- If 6″ is too long, we also offer RV door holder in 3.6″ and 4″ sizes for your purchase
- You can see below for other sizes

Compres estos soporte para las puerta de la redila de mí estaquita y funciona muy bien se ve muy resistente
Stacy –
I like how heavy duty this thing is. Wouldn’t work the way it came. No way it would line up with the catch. I figured I bought the wrong one but rather than send it back I used the shop vice and hammer to put a bend in it and now it works perfectly.
Jerry M. –
The quality of the door holds was very good. The material is definitely stainless steel. They are very easy to install and work great. I bought the 6″ set to give me a little more clearance to latch and unlatch.
Richard W. Riper –
Install was easy with supplied screws. Because door when open is not parallel to wall of RV, had to add a “kink” to the “arm”, using a vice and pair of large Crescent wrenches. Will need to see how the finish holds up in our wet climate. So far so good!
Haley –
I replaced two broken plastic holder with these, much for sturdy. Had to bend the opening for the holder a little to get them to work with ease, other easy to install.
Bob –
Great item and fast shipping
Dave Justa –
Replacement for non-metal OEM parts. Even fits original screw holes on my Wells Cargo trailer
DW –
The finish is too shiny for my taste. It would have been less conspicuous if it was natural stainless steel. However, it is good quality and works well.
BOO MAN –
I got these to install on the outside of my home built teardrop trailer. I really like them because they have a spring that keeps the arm from sticking out. I have seen trailers that have holes poked in the doors because they didn’t have springs on the arms. These are the most functional door holders I could find and were easy to install. They are a greatest looking holders I could find and were easy to install. They are a great value for the money because they look so much better than other styles and the fit was perfect. I also like that they are heavy quality and not something thin that will break easily.
