Has all the tools needed to repair the spark plug threads in early Triton heads, up until they went too far the other way and started using spark plugs that commonly broke off in the head during removal which requires a completely different set of tools lol. This kit has components that look to be well made. I’m not looking forward to the day when I need to use this, but I’m glad I have it.

Well if you know anything about Ford’s and you say the word Ford Triton you know what means trouble for the ultimate wisdom chose to make a aluminum head and put in steel spark plugs which causes electrolysis and eventually corrodes the threads holding the plugs in and sooner or later you’ll be driving along and your car will launch a spark plug out of the spark plug hole because the threads are corroded away. When my mother pulled into the driveway with the noise the car was making I was scared for her safety the car makes so much noise with the plug missing while the car was running. That was my first experience with the Ford Triton motor and was the last we immediately got online to find out that Ford’s use of aluminum heads causes this problem . This is awesome it is all inclusive it’s got team or bit the threaded tap the new threaded inserts which as per recommendation of my mechanic was JB welded in for permanent repairs and light weight 24 hours to cure . How it works is you remove the plug there’s a guide that fits into the spark plug that will hold the ream and the threader in the perfect position needed to drill and tap for a new insert once the new insert is JB welding replacing cure it’s permanent the kit is the very good quality and an amazing value for the money concerning some of the kicks that did the same thing with the same exact products and it will well over $300 so the value for one for the money was fantastic and as far as performance it worked beautifully it gave us back our vehicle where we would have had to buy a new motor. I am far from a professional mechanic just a DIY I like the rest of us and this kid after reading the instructions and watching a couple of YouTube videos was very easy to use and it fit perfectly the rims and taps and dies are all predetermined and there’s no thinking just follow the instructions and you will have your call back I would definitely recommend this you can do this at home if you have basic mechanical skills the quality is good and it all comes in a blow mold in case . This kit is exactly what it is advertised to be and saved the day on my 200k mile 4.6 that decided to pop a spark plug out of the head. The kit is pretty straight forward and easy to use. I have repaired spark plug threads before but with 4.6 is a little more difficult that the standard head with how its designed. This kit made easy work of the job and comes with everything you need. Everything is well made and feels like it will last for a long time. The kit comes with several thread inserts so its not a one and done tool. The inserts are much better made than you find in most thread repair kits too so that give some confidence that the repair will last a good long while. This is a fine kit and it saved the day for my 4.6.

Man This kit is a engine saver if you have a titan Ford engine. The drill bit and tap are easy to use with supplied guide and the heli coils for the plugs are smooth to install

The fitting for the air valve doesn’t fit standard air chucks. The guide has to be filed to remove a lip that prevents it from fitting in the head. The reamer is dull and will take you hours to enlarge the hole. I’m very disappointed and should have just bought the cal van kit.
