BG Universal MGC is designed to protect both conventional and limited slip differentials. It enhances lubricant film thickness and improves extreme pressure characteristics of any gear oil. It is a thermally stable, technically advanced supplement designed for use with any API GL-4 or GL-5 gear lubricant in conventional and limited slip applications. It smoothes and quiets operation of gears in the differential and fortifies the additives in gear lubricants. Excellent for use in manual transmissions and transfer cases to provide extra film strength, smooth shift action and corrosion protection
PROBLEM: Through normal operation, the bearings, input and output shaft gears and gear teeth in manual transmissions are subjected to intense stress and heat. Gear teeth will become pitted and worn. Synchronizer sleeves may become scored so that they do not move freely on the hubs.
Full-time four wheel drive transfer cases will also often chatter loudly when turning because of too much friction. In many models, the chain will stretch, and chatter occurs because of the friction between the plates.
Limited slip differentials are designed to transmit the major driving force to the wheel that has the most traction. However, when driving vehicles equipped with limited slip differentials, a loud chatter frequently occurs when the vehicle is turned. This problem is caused by stick-slipping between the plates because of too much friction.

I used this with synchro III, paired it seems to have smoothed over my Manual shifting clunkiness that came with the ford oem fluid

This product claims to cling to the gears of a manual transmission or differential causing far better lubrication than gear oil alone. After using it I have to agree that my manual transmission slides into each gear with less resistance. I will probably use this product at every oil change.
