MOTOEYE features a quad-core Bluetooth module. It includes one Bluetooth channel for connecting to a phone for making calls and listening to music, another Bluetooth channel for connecting to a Bluetooth remote controller, and one dedicated Bluetooth channel for mesh intercom communication. Additionally, the last Bluetooth channel serves as the master device for connecting other Bluetooth earphones.

Got this 6 Motorcycle Helmet HUD, and it’s been a game-changer for my rides. The head-up display is super convenient for navigation, and I love that I can connect my phone for GPS and music without hassle. The mesh intercom works great for chatting with friends on the road.The rearview camera is a nice safety feature, and the noise reduction really helps drown out the wind. Plus, the RGB lights add a cool vibe to my helmet. With its sturdy build, it’s held up well against the elements. Overall, I’m really impressed—this thing makes riding so much more enjoyable!

This thing is priced fairly and reasonably for what it can do. It is a game changer! Just the mesh capability alone can run $300 on a single stand-alone unit, so the price is very fair. I bought it for the rearview capability only, but got so much more. I use it when I ride my EUC (V14). The camera and viewer are impressive as far as resolution. I can’t see the pixels!! There is a custom setting for just about everything in the app. I like that it is wired because that direct connection to video and display has no lag. I haven’t tested the sound from the speaker as of this review, but I can use Bluetooth from my phone on the different speakers I already have installed in my helmet.Overall, it is an impressive device especially as the company’s first version. I’m a gadget freak, so it takes a lot to impress me. And I am impressed!If you think it’s over priced, you will change your mind once you see what it can do just lime I did. It does what I hoped for and more than what I imagined. Even if you think it should be priced at $300, the safety it will provide me is worth paying twice that! The extra awareness behind me will reduce the chance of accidents which can cost 10 times more in medical fees.Just get it and you will agree with everything I wrote here.

I was looking forward to seeing how this worked on my open face helmet, which I use when I ride my scooter. Following the instructions I was able to place the camera unit on the back and the HUD on the front. I was even able to switch everything on and see the nice clear display with the message ‘download MOTOEYE App’. That is the end of the good news though. The application is not available on the Google play store, you have have to download it from their website as an APK file. I’ve used these before, so as long as you have your phone set to allow them they should be ok. However despite repeated attempts it would not download. I switched to my PC and was able to download the file, then transfer it to my phone by cable connection. After running the installation I arrived at a registration screen which was a lesson in how to create frustration. You have to choose your country from the list, United Kingdom appears in the G section with a small (GB) in brackets. Then you have to get a registration code, then set your password, which it refused to accept. Each time it rejects the password the whole screen is reset and you need to reselect your country, enter your phone number again then get another code, only to be sent in a seemingly endless loop. At this point I’d had enough. The seller wants almost £550 for this item. In this price range the process should be totally seamless. Not sending you to an unsecure Chinese website. Also for this sort of price the camera unit should not look as cheap and basic as it does. I would honestly feel I was over paying at £55, let alone £550. Sorry but I cannot recommend this. If they sort out the software and give it a major price cut I would have another look but not as it stands.

THE REASON I PURCHASED THIS -I am an EUC rider, my wheel goes about 55, I do travel in the road and felt I need to see behind me better than a mirror… I saw this and decided to try it…PROS -OK, so I love it,The picture is much more vivid and brighter than I thought it would be, clear as can be.The connection to CarPlay is great for all my phone’s functions.Speed and stats at a glance is super helpful when riding. and it showsno matter the screen, big plus.Rear View is very clear, I am able to see upcoming cars well.CONS -Pirce – this is very spendy, its great but I think maybe 350 would be super awesome.The camera is pretty big and heavy… Although I found a spot on my helmet, I can see it may be an issue for the smaller ones.The battery life is only OK I did need to add more power on group rides… 3 and a half hours, then music and all goes off, but the camera stays on for another 15 minutes with a notice…. It would be great to bring the battery life to 6 hours.The sound is very low, the quality is good, but it’s so low that I can barely hear the music while riding. Ok, when at stop lights or low speed cruising.The connection to the remote takes a few tries to connect… and takes a while to connect.Doesn’t answer the phone with the remote when a call comes in… you need to be in the phone section.Voice activation doesn’t seem to work, or I don’t know what to say to it…OVER ALL WOULD I RECOMMEND?Ok, so, I will recommend this for those who are riding things like Eboards, Scooters, EUCs, and even OneWheels… Motorcycleists would need to use it first, before deciding its for them… I can see where it would be good if you have no one riding behind you, but also it seems to be a little bit of a distraction. But riders would have to decide that…For me… Its great, I can’t see riding without it…. If you have an EUC and you gear up… and you can afford it, its a must have…

Simple to install to the bike and setup as for the safety element this is yet to be tested fully I feel it maybe some what distracting from the line of vision especially when viewing phone information seems a little to high tech like something from iron man !!

Setting up this helmet HUD was hideous and very confusing, taking much more patience than I expected. The mounting bracket and housing felt solid once in place. Even with the remote and the instruction leaflet, pairing my phone via Bluetooth and CarPlay took multiple attempts to get right. Once installation was complete, I could project the screen onto the visor. The projection is transparent and see-through, which sounds good, but it creates a distracting overlay when I ride. Trying to read GPS directions while moving made concentration harder, especially at higher speeds. I tested the mesh intercom with a friend, and although the noise reduction did help our voices come through, the screen overlay still pulled my attention away from the road. The rearview camera feed appeared on the HUD when I signaled for a lane change, but I found myself glancing at the visor instead of checking my mirrors. Riding through light rain showed the IP66 rating does work, as the device stayed dry and functional. In terms of price-value efficiency, although it combines lots of very useful features, like navigation and communication, I found the price to be quite steep, plus the confusing setup and potential distraction make me think twice. One feature I appreciate is the automatic brightness adjustment, which keeps the display readable in different light conditions. Despite that, I worry the HUD’s transparency could divide my focus when I need to pay full attention to the road.
