After installation, the fit is very good. The aluminum material is strong but not too heavy, which can well protect the bottom of the engine and prevent it from being scratched by stones, branches or road obstacles when off-roading. The thickness is 1/4 inch, which is strong enough to cope with daily use and light off-roading, and its durability is more reliable than the original thin iron sheet. The installation holes are precise and in most cases it can directly replace the original guard plate. However, due to the thick material, it is best to have two people cooperate during installation, which is labor-saving and safer.

Very solid, it’s actually 1/4″ thick, appears to be cast so I’m not sure how many impacts it can take from large rocks and such. Appears to be a counterfeit Toyota plate, if you take off the shiny front it reveals an embossed TRD logo. One of the holes was either off center or mine is warped a little, the front driver side hole had to be enlarged to get the bolt in (all others were centered) making install more difficult than it should be. Overall I’m happy with it for the price. Way better than the factory sheet metal.

The one big issue I have with it is that the 2 back screws don’t line up with the truck. I can fit the 4 front screws in perfectly and the back doesn’t fit. I think the way it was stamped it was a little crocked so now I have a non working skid plate that I cant mount unless I open the holes some more to have some play to position it in a way where all 6 screws can be screwed in. I think this is an issue with quality and this one shouldn’t have gone out like this.I tried it every other way and it still wont fit. This is an issue off misaligned screw holes. My truck is a 2023 trd off-roadI like that this is basically the name brand one but without the high price that comes with that. It even have the letters stamped on it. It is the later style which uses clip on letters, although it doesn’t come with them. I would’ve likes that it came with the letters but I found some stick on type ones and got that later.It is very tough, you can see how thick the metal is and it is heavy weight also. I am very confident this will take some good damage away from the truck and still look good.I also like that it comes with all the mounting hardware, bolts spacers, washers and even the plastic washers to holde the bolts in place.
