I had heard bad reviews for this online, but it was cheap enough that I decided to add it to my kit. Thought it might come in handy someday and lo and behold that day came not too long after I purchased it. Friend had removed his chain and was working on replacing his front sprocket as well. Sprocket Jammer worked like a champ at both removing the old sprocket and installing the new one with the chain removed the whole time. Now sure there are more ways we could of done this, but this tool made it super simple and let us keep our momentum as we worked on his bike. Zero damage to the Jammer after we were done and box in the tool box it went.

This works pretty well. Used to stuff a rag in there (still a fine method). After many years of working on bikes I like this tool, good to have.

Not a bad little tool. Quality construction looks great, but it’s kind of a gimmick and more of a toolbox trinket. With a few decades of working bikes, you learn that the old and usual way works better and why to fix what’s not broken (except for more power “argh argh argh argh argh,” so I rewired it!) I ended up just using a 1/2″ combo wrench, which did a better job like I have in the past.Maybe it is a better option for thinner chains or bike chains and not a 520 and up chain that I hoped to use this for.

Anything from Motion Pro is always made with quality and durability in mind! Perfect little tool for getting sprockets off and for torquing down sprocket nuts. I also use the motion pro gear jammer regularly and it’s great as well!
