Towed a jeep behind our 40 foot motor home and the transmitter in jeep didn’t always stay connected to receiver I MH. Had to monkey with mounting locations… ultimately sticking both units to driver’s side windows in order to keep some connection. The breaking indicator on the receiver sometimes doesn’t light up when braking. I’ve learned to not question the supplimental brake but rather the connectivity of this product.

I like monitoring my towed vehicle behind the motorhome for brake application and breakaway. Two issues I have 1)the units will loose communication sometimes rendering it useless. Have to stop and typically power one or the other off & on. 2)When turning in to tow I have to teach the units requiring me to take the motorhome unit to the car and re-teach. Only takes a minute but is annoying. Sadly I do not see a better option that will monitor both brakes & breakaway.

It’s probably a good product, but it does not fit my automobile. Can I still return it?

It does exactly what it is supposed to do. Installed in my large RV with tow vehicle 50 feet back from the monitor. Good signal. Works well.
