Easy to install, brought new life to my 1950’s Moore’s gas space heater. Only thing was old piolet gas line did not fit this, however I bought the assembled pilot with thermocouple and bracket and added this to the stove as well. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01BVS566W?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_titleThis was the same brand as the worn out one i took off, I am hopeful for another 70 Year run on this one!

Valve is nice and compact. It would of been nice to know that the conversion kit need to be install to use LP.Beside that everything went smooth.

How can I ship this item back and get a new one

Instead of the 3/8″ in/out ports this has 1/2″ ports with reducer bushings. The bushings will move the valve to one side or the other depending on your heater and you may have to modify the heater by drilling new holes as I had to, to relocate the valve. If you use LP instead of natural gas you will need to remove the regulator and install the conversion plate, provided that you are replacing the same brand and type valve, if not you will need to purchase the conversion plate separately. NOTE: The screw holes on the new valve are not as deep as the old valve and you will need to add washers under the screw heads to prevent a leak as I had, if not you will have a gas leak and fire hazard. Check thoroughly after install for leaks.

Works like a charm. Replaced a Honeywell valve that was discontinued. Fast delivery as well.

Looks likes it’s 33 years old straight out of the box and sold as a new valve . If it works good . I have a month to install it while my return window is open .
