In keeping the exhaust gases within the turbocharger hot, turbocharger efficiency is improved. Also by keeping the heat of the exhaust gases contained within the hot side of the turbocharger and away from the cool side of the turbocharger and the intake path, more oxygen per unit volume reaches the engine, and thus, more power can be achieved.

I was super sceptic about this but tried it out after a friend recommended it. It makes an incredible difference. It drastically dropped my under-hood temps. I thought it was to good to be true, until I also saw a review from “Engineering Explained” in YTube testing there blankets.The fit is snug and I ended up adding some additional Metal Zip ties to keep it in place as we do some endurance racing. Highly Recommended Product..

No instructions. Could not install as its correct fitment is not obvious… and in the process of trying to see how it correctly should go, a sharp pointed metal wire from “inside” the product stabbed through and into the tip of my thumb, pretty deep! Like, to the point it bled for a fair amount of time and the tip was was sore for almost a week, very annoying. So 2 thumbs down on this one, and pun intended. I do NOT recommend.

Worked great i find the turbo spooled up faster than normally and way lees heat from the engine compartment but the Ko3 spun to life way faster i could tell right away this was a good fit,I do wish it came with some instructions on how to put it on, but its kind of self expletory any ways! but wear gloves as the fiberglass cloth will get in your skin and expect it to smoke a lot for the first day or so but when you first start it you will get a lot of smoke

I’ve been using it for a few months and it’s held up better than I expected. All the other turbo blankets were more than double to price so I decided to give this a try and I’m content with the purchase. Mk5 GTI k04

No installation instructions provided. I finally got the product installed after trying many different mounting positions. Even though I finally have it installed I actually don’t know if it’s in the correct position. For the amount of time I wasted trying to figure it, I would have gladly paid double for a similar product that comes with instructions.

These blankets dont come with instructions because there isnt only 1 way to install them. I used 20 gauge wire and used a hanger to fish it up through the manifold. Supereasy for me. Way better not having heatsoak because i live in a hot climate.

The edges were frayed right out of the box. I wouldn’t trust putting this on my turbo. Easy return.
