Nice to find parts for my 1999 goldwing 1500 Put a new one in to replace the old with that still work with 66333 miles on it. The new put out better voltage.

Install was straight forward. It started the bIke after the battery had a charge.It ran well but the alternator seemed to get very hot. Too hot to even touch.The forums erupted with its too hot…. IT’s Chinese crap. Some said. It’s normL.Next day it ran fine. The temperature was much much lower and it charges fine. Output at 1k rpm is 13.5 volts. I know it’s supposed to be less. But so far so good.The original Hitachi is out getting rebuilt as a stand by.DB electronic seems to be a reputable company and it’s working better than it should.

this is a repacement alternator. my mechanic said the 1st one sounded like the bearing are bad. sent it back. the repacement is installed and working. so far so good
