People complain that no cables come with it. That’s because you can use either antenna port and cable. I self installed, and used the included shock sensor cable as I used the DASII. Just food for thought. You have to have this or go to an installer to change most output options.

I purchased the full compustar universal kit because I did not want dealer to mess with my wiring harness on my old Volvo. This was needed to program the box to my liking- telling it to turn the defroster fan on below 32 degrees, setting the run time. A must have for remote start kit!

Works great easy to learn how to use, changed all the options I wanted to. Just be careful with unplugging the harness from windshield antenna feels like it’s gonna break every time

The only reason for the 4 stars is that the manufacturer should have made this included or even a slimmed down version included with the alarm being bought. The functions work as intended once you use this.

Though I wish I didn’t need extra equipment to set up my alarm on my honda civic, this tool did help me to dial in my alarm settings to make everything function how I wanted to. I saved a lot of money by installing my compustar alarm myself that it was worth it to purchase this programming tool as well. My biggest complaint about compustar though is that they aren’t a DIY friendly company. They only give help to registered and professional installers and I do not have access to update the programmer.
