I bought this to trigger a doorbell signal through my whole house audio system. I tap the audio from the speaker of my doorbell and feed it to the Channelplus MDS6A and to the VAR-1 and the VAR-1 creates a trigger that mutes the MDS6A and plays the chime. This is a great solution for a whole house doorbell. It works as expected and was easy to setup.
