I was looking for a 420 chain & came across this one. Not all chain manufacturers take the same care in their products. This O ring chain is crafted really well. I know there are chain manufacturers that make O ring chains in 420 that are much cheaper. But you get what you pay for. There’s reasons why those chains are 20 bucks or less. They say their chains are just as good as this one until you get it on your machine & it keeps popping off the sprocket or makes creaking noises when riding. They use monkey metal & cheap o rings that aren’t seated correctly, allowing dirt & water etc. To get inside the links. This chain isn’t like that. I know that using this chain I won’t get noises, or faulty links & the o rings are going to seal out dirt & debris. I know it’s not going to pop off my sprocket. I know it’s not going to round off the teeth on my sprockets. Drive chains are one of those parts that shouldn’t be skimped on. I can’t ride without it & I won’t trust it if I buy a cheap Chinese made one. You’re well being is literally on the line. If you need a chain then Rippin Moto has a well made product that I know I can Trust. I recommend it with 5 stars. My well being isn’t something I will cheap out on. Spend the money to get a good chain that can be trusted. Plus getting to have fun longer in between maintenance on my bike is a bonus.

So I had gotten this chain as an upgrade to put onto my 2023 Phatmoto Rover, mostly chosen this one because of its looks as well as the fact it was the proper size chain. as for length had to remove several links and ran into another issue as well but the solution was right in front of me. only thing didn’t work out right was the fact that due to the o-rings added on to each and every link it makes the chains width to wide for the tensioner pulley, no biggie since I been in the motorized bicycle scene for a while now I happened to have a whole pile of different pulley wheels however once I found one wide enough I soon realized its almost hitting my spokes like maybe 1/8th in away and that’s way to close for comfort so i pondered a bit and decided since the chains so stiff and seemingly strong it wouldn’t stretch to much so I deleted the tensioner all together in favor of using the rear wheel adjusters to keep the correct tension worked like a charm. now I know eventually the chains gonna stretch but when that happens I plan to simply slide rear wheel forward as far as able and remove a link and be good to go but 250 miles so far with chain added and alls well thanks for listening stay safe.
