The slot/gap is way too small..less than 0.100″. The pictures show it being used on aluminum car wheels, aluminum motorcycle wheels, and medium/ h-d truck wheels. I tried it on all of those, plus steel 15″ automotive wheels, which are pretty thin. Wouldn’t fit on any of those, I returned it.

Soft coating should keep me from scratching the rim with a holding tool. I wasn’t aware they made these until recently and while it’s not a necessity it can help DIYers that change or repair tires.

Good value for the money. They look great, but the rubber coating is not as durable as I would have liked. The rubber coating has ripped with one use. That being said, they still did the jobI needed done.

This works really well even with the heavy duty tire. It hold up great and the quality is excellent. Easy to use and now you don’t need a buddy to help hold the hold the tire down.
