If you have a truck bed cap or tonneau cover and want to keep out dust and water from your truck bed but occasionally use your truck for transporting loose material, then this is the solution. Solved problem in my 2018 F-150 with dust seeping into box through crack between bottom of tailgate and box. Also sealed gap between sides of tailgate and box. It has held up through this harsh, cold winter. Especially great for keeping water out when going through high pressure touchless commercial car wash. Box has 3-fold hard BAK tonneau cover.

I’ve had this on my truck for a couple of months and it is holding up perfectly. It was easy to put on, and the adhesion promoter stuff they give you really works! I haven’t had any problems with the strips lifting away from the surfaces, and it’s plenty sturdy material. I think it should hold up well for a good long time. Definitely helps keep wetness and dirt out of my truck bed when off roading!

Just installed and so far everything seems quality, however, in the listing it is not apparent that the 6 foot main seal is not enough length to cover both the sides and the bed/tailgate seam on my Tacoma, and bigger trucks would need even more. Of course, the rock seal will help seal the tailgate seam, but for those that want to seal underneath the rock guard in case things come apart, the 10 foot length would be needed. My review is in response to this not being apparent in the listing, not the quality of the product.

This is a great product. Works well to keep twigs and leaves out of the gap between box and tailgate and is an excellent tailgate seal

The gap between the lower tailgate and bed floor is too large for the rubber strip. It needs to be a couple more inches wider to make up for the rotation of the tailgate. It pulls tight and the adhesive can’t tolerate it.

Purchased this and installed it before going up the Dempster Highway in Canada, I was hoping to keep out the dust. I cleaned my entire backend/tailgate with rubbing alcohol used the adhesion promoter and followed the directions to the T. I also used all of the extra length I had to further seal the sides, I thought I was ready for the gravel highway.I sealed all the seams of my tonneau cover with duct tape to help prevent intrusion of dirt and hit the road. I was beyond disappointed when I got to my campground for the night and EVERYTHING was covered with dust in the backend, with heavier dust the closer you got to the tailgate. It had covered a nearly new microwave/convection over/air fryernthat I had next to the tailgate with dust. In fact the dust was so bad that it ruined that microwave (started smoking after it ran for a few minutes). A week later the seal started to peel from the tailgate, it’s still on there, but the opening now is even larger than it was before. I’m back from my trip and now need to figure out how to remove the seal. I’d like to find one what works better and won’t be buying this brand again.

After reading all the reviews, I bought this seal and it works well! It was installed 2 months ago and the adhesive REALLY sticks! An important point – it absolutely keeps water and dust out of the truck bed… but it also TRAPS water and dust IN the truck bed. Obviously. I’ve had a tonneau leak for some time before installing this seal, and now I’m extra motivated to stop that tonneau leak. As I said, this seal really sticks and works!

I am always hauling dirt or gravel and I finally got fed up trying to clean out my box so I bought this kit. The activator pen that you apply before you stick it down is very good. Make sure you have it right where you want because once its down its forever . I decided to use velcro on the tailgate itself with also using the activator pen because I do take my tailgate off the odd time based on weird loads I haul once in a while. I have noticed that when I first laid this down that I made sure that the tailgate seal was folding inwards as I lifted the tailgate. Now that I have done this a few times it just naturally folds inward which I think will help extend its life. Much easier to keep my box clean and less time consuming

Works great for me on my 2020 Jeep Gladiator. Gas motor. Did trim the left side of the holder so I could stick it as far left as possible on the lid to clear gas cap when lid is closed. I works. Also no problem using the gas pump nozzle. It clears. If you have the Mopar locking gas cap, do not need key to remove cap from holder. Just lightly push white part of cap with finger and cap come off holder easy. Cap locks into holder with very minimal effort. Easy. I like this.
