First of all, RecPro delivered this sewer hose storage tube in a very timely manner—actually arrived 3 days early! However, when I removed the tube from the box (saw no exterior damage to the box), we found that one of the hinges on one of the end hatches was broken and would not stay on the end of the tube. This hinge is very flimsy—should be designed with a stainless steel pin, for example, so that it will last a long time. Also, although mounting it is very straightforward (4 stainless steel self-tapping screws), because of the way the “end hatch” is designed, it’s very difficult to get a drill-driver bit onto the screws. Finally got it done, but would be nice to be able to remove the end caps to be able to access the mounting locations more easily. On a positive note, all it took was a phone call to RecPro and they are mailing us another hatch to replace the broken one at N/C. Hope it arrives intact, so we can put it on. In the meantime, we’ll wire the broken one on so our hoses don’t wind up on the road somewhere! Just use better materials and tweak the design a bit, and you’ll have a top-notch product!

I’ve had this item attached to my bumper for about 6 months now. It’s shrinking in the hot sun. Overall I found it annoying to install. The holes don’t match such that you can easily bolt it onto a standard rv bumper. I ended up having to use steel strapping which is fine but a little classless. I will be looking for another solution later. Not worth the money I paid for it.Update: 8 months later and the pipe has shrunk so much I have to adjust the dimensions of the safety cables holding it down. The external door portions have come unglued and I have screwed the outer frame (containing the doors) to the pipe. I wouldn’t buy this one again if you paid me to buy it.Edit 04/2024 : this product is definitely a POS. The pipe shrinks in the sun and on a recent trip I almost lost my hose because one side cover came off. I’m better off with a 5 gallon paint bucket for 5 bucks. Don’t buy this.

Really nice item. I used this on my 8ft wide toy hauler because for some reason in 2022 these aren’t a thing? I pushed the hose in and didn’t realize it popped out the other side and broke the very flimsy door latches, but other than that very well made and is working just fine.

Yes, it is cheap made could of used glue instead of push in ribits. I bought the smaller of the two should of got the larger one. After i mount both ends I will glue the two half’s together. Will tie one end so it dont open it has a latch save it for later. As for the cost think it is over priced. For those that blame the maker for broken parts that mostly the shipper not the maker. The maker could pack it with bubble wrap on the ends.
