bit hard to fit but thats the car fault since there so little room to move in

This was used in our 2022 Mini F60 Countryman. Limber up! There are going to be several contortions as you lay in the passenger side footwell and pry the filter loose. But wait! There’s more! The second one is down in there and will have to be fished out as well. Reversing this process is easy to say but hard to do. The first one will try to go sideways as it’s pushed into place. I used a 12″ ruler to try and push the far side down in an even motion, since there is no way to reach back in there. I broke off the connector on the harness side of the SOS speaker under the glovebox in the process. Mini only provides about an inch of slack. Repair connector is part number 61132360043 and are available on Amazon.

This job, in theory, is very easy. Take the old filters out and put the new ones in. But man o man it’s so much more than that. I’m not faulting the filter manufacturer for how Mini designed the placement and access, but they could have made it a tad easier by making the frame of the filter more rigid.I have a 2017 Mini Cooper Clubman. The cabin filter compartment is in the front passenger foot well (below the glove box – not within the glove box). You have to first take out the kick plate (above where your ankles would be) then a small panel (where your left foot would be) at center of the car. There’s a little access door to open then you’ll see the filters in the compartment. The only way to get to the filters is to lay on your back so your head is where the feet of your passenger would be. Pulling the old ones out wasn’t much trouble with needle nose pliers. Putting these filters in was very frustrating because they are too flexible so as you’re trying to push the 2nd one in, on top of the 1st, it’s just bending up. After a few attempts, I pulled out and compared with the old filters (which were genuine BMW filters) and the only difference I noticed was that the edges (frame) are more rigid. A more rigid frame makes it easier to push into place since it wouldn’t bend and get stuck on itself and the bottom filter.I had to contort myself in order to get my left hand in this tiny spot in order to push in with my right and push down from the top with my left.These filters are so much less expensive than others so that might be the trade off. The dealer was charging almost $100 – parts & labor – so I saved about $85.

This is best and quality is top notch.I installed this in my partner’s 2016 MINI Cooper S -4 doors , and fits perfectly fine.Quality is super fine and has grips like original mini/bmw filters .You can get it for your BMW or MINI or any other compatible vehicle .
